'War' is an action movie starring Jet Li and Jason Statham, they have played opposite each other in a movie before, The One, from year 2000. In 'War' Statham plays a cop and Jet Li plays an assassin. Great action, and interesting story with some surprising, and it must be said; unrealstic, story twists.
But all in all this one is a winner. Not as much kung fu from Jet Li as some would like, but I didn't care. He is very good in this movie nevertheless. And there is kung fu in this movie, it's just not a kung fu movie.

I didn't read your review all the way through but I remember the movie well! I thought it was kind of strange attaching bombs to the legs of the competators that would actually blow up a mid-size car. I mean.... what was the point? If any of the main characters had had any balls at all, they would've pulled the plug on that bomb when they were standing right next to the mofo who sent them to this island. So that's my two cents ;)
Otherwise... cool action!
Kai... You obviously didn't read all the way trough. You are talking about a completly different movie called 'The Condemned'. This review was for the movie 'War' featuring Jet Li, wich you have also watched...
